Growing Up in a Galaxy Far Far Away: autobiography of Ewok movie actor Eric Walker

There is so much cool Ewok related stuff coming out right now. Add another item to the list. Eric Walker, who played Mace Towani in Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor is getting ready to release his book/autobiography.

The hardcopy of the book is supposed to be released soon. A digital version, to the people who backed the project on Kickstarter, was recently sent out.

As an Ewok fan I thought this was cool and I wanted to post a quote from the acknowledgement section in the begining of the book.

It is packed with pictures, cool stories about the making, and loads of other stuff. I browsed the digital version but really want to sav e reading it until the hard copy comes out. I will update this post when the release date is announced. Again, should be soon.

He also made a disc containing beind the scenes pictures from the making of the movie and a DVD called the "Making of the Ewok Adventure" which is footage he and Warwick Davis shot when they were kids behind the scenes.

That is so very awesome! Eric Walker is a good man and a good actor and musician. I read an article on him in the Insider awhile back in which he spoke of this book and the movie he and Warwick shot during "Caravan of Courage." He has very fond memories of working with Aubree Miller and Warwick Davis and all the Ewok actors. He says that's a really good memory for him and growing up on Skywalker Ranch under the direction of George Lucas. Eric is an accomplished musician as well, and has his cd available for purchase on his website. One of the tracks is entitled "Return to Endor." It's an Ewok homage! His autographs are very resonably priced as well! I have asked for "Growing up on Skywalker Ranch" and "Size matters Not" for my birthday, along with Eric's cd and now, I'll add the movie too! Yes, it's a good time for awesome Ewok related collectibles! Yubnub!

I'd love a 'making of' or 'art of' book surrounding these movies. The Star War Chronicles book (which might be the best SW book ever) has some info, pics, & drawings covering both movies, but its only 8 pages as I recall...

Hooray! good to hear this. i've informed my family. I have a birthday in november and Eric's book and the K-Mart Ewok Scouts would be nice gifts!
